Solo Andata - Fyris Swan (hefty, 2007) -- accoustic-electro. australian duo. mainly guitar acoustic/chime and electronic layers. Ambient in texture, a little like Harold budd, but without diorienting reverb.
note, hey bubba.
eluvioum is good but definitely not top of year material. I am not so sure about Dinosour jr. they have nothing new to say. |

Yeah, Eluvium is probably nowhere to be found in year-end list.
As for Dinosaur Jr, it doesn't always matter whether a band has something new to say, some stories just never get old. |

| I would add Meg Baird with "Dear Companion", definitely in my current top 5. Same goes for Rhys Chatham with "A Crimson Grail" which is stunningly beautiful. |

Trans Am - Sex Change (Thrill Jockey, 2007)
very consistent and fun. Electro rock ala New order but without the tacky lyrics. Closer to later kraftwerk.
