Solo Andata - Fyris Swan (hefty, 2007) -- accoustic-electro. australian duo. mainly guitar acoustic/chime and electronic layers. Ambient in texture, a little like Harold budd, but without diorienting reverb.

note, hey bubba.
eluvioum is good but definitely not top of year material. I am not so sure about Dinosour jr. they have nothing new to say.

Yeah, Eluvium is probably nowhere to be found in year-end list.

As for Dinosaur Jr, it doesn't always matter whether a band has something new to say, some stories just never get old. Smile

I would add Meg Baird with "Dear Companion", definitely in my current top 5. Same goes for Rhys Chatham with "A Crimson Grail" which is stunningly beautiful.

very consistent and fun. Electro rock ala New order but without the tacky lyrics. Closer to later kraftwerk.
