heh heh, so you want to be famoust on Myspace? (Write a script to act like you are so wanted dammit!)

On closer inspection, I decided the best way to make this work would be to start a Myspace group. I actually started two, one dealing with the website (http://groups.myspace.com/leagueofguitarists), and the other just being a forum for guitarists to talk about being guitarists (http://groups.myspace.com/guitarlessonforum). The reason this idea was so effective is because, for one, Myspace doesn’t make you enter a code to keep adding people to your group, and for another, more than one person can send out invites every day.
So I created 10 Myspace accounts, each one with a league of guitarists email account, and I created my own software. The software was a simple windows form with a webbrowser that would navigate to myspace and log on. It would start at a given FriendID number, invite that person, and increment the number by one. This method invites people from all over the world. As I said earlier, Myspace only allows 500 actions per day, so I made the adder stop at 450. Then it would log out, log in under a different profile, and start the process all over. By the time I finished, I had invited about 4500 per day. The whole system was completely automated, relying on me only to hit the start button. Due to changes in my living condition, I was only able to run it for about a month, but this was more than enough time to make the group self sufficient. Each group had around 10,000 members, and the forums were very active. The prominence that the groups now have bring in a number of new members every day.
