We definitely need to develop a consistent policy,
what not to post. Specially regarding several labels. I don't have clear thought yet
but something to start with:
1. The big labels are getting desperate for cash. They gonna start coming for the blog.
2. We definitely need to be aware of "labels" instead of merely posting things randomly at will. (which label to avoid, etc) 90% of our posts are already OK. but there is small number that is difficult to do without spending time. We need to develop easy method to get to the last 10%.
3. musically speaking: what to do?
4. what to do with audiance relationship?
5. do we need to look at how our content/program is created? (whatever that is...) |

Recording Industry vs The People has a list of the record labels which show up most often on the RIAA’s ‘Frequent Plaintiff List’.
They are: Arista; Atlantic; BMG; Capitol; Elektra; Fonovisa; Interscope; Lava; Loud; Maverick; Motown Priority; SONY; UMG; Virgin; and, Warner.
But dig deeper and it seems:
* Arista is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony BMG
* Atlantic is owned by the Warner Music Group
* BMG is the German half of the Sony BMG partnership
* Capitol is owned by EMI
* Elektra is owned by the Warner Music Group
* Interscope is owned by Vivendi’s Universal Music Group
* Lava is owned by owned by Warner Music Group
* Loud is owned by UMG
* Maverick is owned by the Warner Music Group
* Motown Priority is owned by Vivendi’s Universal Music Group
* SONY is the Japanese half of the Sony BMG partnership
* UMG is Vivendi’s Universal Music Group
* Virgin Music is owned by EMI
* Warner Music Group is Warner Music
