Post Design consideration.Some note for long term design consideration. After you are comfortable with single post items.
Basic idea:
- make reader interested in your post.
- Tell why your post is interesting, your idea, what you say, etc. (via text, pictures, music, link)
Post design consideration, lifetime of a post/reader interaction:
- the first half a second (how does it look? is it interesting for readers to want to click it. Does the general post look helps reader decide what the list is about?) Picture, titles, keywords are importants.
- The next 30 seconds. How the text read. What is in the list (artist, titles, album title, year)
- 5 minutes. Listening to songs/first download.
- after 20 minutes. deeper reading. Some people want to investigate more (provide links, further reading, annex, movie, bigger download, etc.)
- After the post. (think how the post will last after this. google lifetime, archive, inter-blog projects)
Provide context:
- text description (why you post the material)
- pictures
- link
- relationship between songs in the list
- external materials (biggerd download, other blogs posts, etc)
Don't:
- If you go abstract, you better know very well what you are doing. Or else nobody understands it, not even you. It becomes odd for it owns sake. It lost context very quickly.
- if you change style dramatically from front page slow, provide strong artistic reasoning. or else your post will look like it doesn't belong and reader will skip it. Post has context.
